New movies this week: 'Guardians of the Galaxy 3,' 'Eight Mountains'

So, I just read this really interesting article about new movies coming out this week. One of them is “Guardians of the Galaxy 3,” which I’m super excited about. I mean, who doesn’t love an action-packed superhero movie with a killer soundtrack? The article also mentioned “Eight Mountains,” which is a little less well-known, but still intriguing.

Basically, “Guardians of the Galaxy 3” is the third installment in the beloved Marvel franchise, featuring our favorite ragtag group of misfits as they continue to save the galaxy from evil forces. The article didn’t give away too many plot details, but it did mention that the script is being written by James Gunn (who also wrote the first two) and that all the main cast members are returning. So, we can expect lots of humor, heart, and intergalactic battles.

As for “Eight Mountains,” it’s based on an award-winning novel by Paolo Cognetti and tells the story of a young man who spends summers in the Italian Alps with his father, a passionate mountaineer. The father-son relationship is at the heart of the story, as they navigate their differing perspectives on life and find common ground through their love of the mountains. Sounds like a touching drama with some gorgeous scenery.

Personally, I’m more excited for “Guardians of the Galaxy 3,” just because I’m a sucker for Marvel movies. But “Eight Mountains” also sounds like a movie I’d enjoy, especially since I love stories about complicated family dynamics. Plus, the film is directed by Felix Van Groeningen, who did an amazing job with “Beautiful Boy.” Overall, there seems to be something for everyone in the new releases this week.

So, if you’re bored this weekend and looking for something to watch, check out “Guardians of the Galaxy 3” or “Eight Mountains.” They may be very different movies, but both have the potential to entertain and move you in their own ways.
